Lost in the Magic
I got lost in the magic this week. Not the dramatic kind. Not a ritual or a spell or a moment of revelation. It was the quiet kind that sneaks in when you shift gears and follow a thread of inspiration. I looked up and realized the days had slipped by without a blog post.
It is rare for me to be late with anything. I am usually the one who plans ahead, organizes the path, and keeps everything moving. This week felt different. The magic tugged me in another direction and I followed it. Before I knew it, another week had passed.
There is a certain enchantment that happens when you are building something you care about. Time rearranges itself. Hours fold into each other. Days blur. You are not avoiding anything. You are immersed.
And that is a kind of magic too.
Sometimes the most important part of a spiritual or creative practice is not the ritual you planned. It is the unexpected path you wander down instead. The detour that becomes the real work. The shift that shows you what needed your attention all along.
So this week’s lesson is simple. When the magic pulls you, let it. Even if something gets posted a little later than usual. Even if the schedule wobbles. Even if you pause, breathe, and begin again.
If you have had a week like that, a week where life or inspiration or exhaustion carried you off course, consider this your reminder that you are not behind. You are human. And sometimes being human is the most magical thing of all.
I will be back on track next week. For now, I am honoring the truth of this one. I got lost in the magic, and maybe that was exactly where I needed to be.
